New England Region:
Many New Englanders Can Run when its cold
(Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, and Rhode Island) (3R's- Roger Williams, founded Rhode Island, for Religious Toleration)

"R" for Rhode Island is "R" for Roger Williams who established that colony.


Middle Region (Bread Basket):
New York, New Jersey Police Department
(New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware)

Southern Region:

The 5 Southern Sisters are Hot!!
(Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia)


Mercantilism
The "M" for Merchandise--the Mother country benefits



The Letter "Y" is the second to the last letter in the Alphabet....so therefore the Battle of "Yorktown" was the last battle fought in the American Revolution.

RASPPA (1st Amendment)

The 3 Branches of Government
LEG--take off the "G" and add a "J"
(Legislative, Executive, and Judicial)

Federalists--the "F" for Federalists is "F" for a National Government



MiSSouri Compromise of 1820- The "SS" in Missouri is for "Slave State" that was admitted into the Union.

Compromise of 1850. The letter "C" in Compromise is the letter "C" for California comes in as a free state and they pass a stricter fugitive slave law.





Gibbons v. Ogden- Court Case in which Congress held the power to regulate "interstate commerce" (remember the steamboat business--"Dale Gas to the interstate")


​Andrew Jackson's 3 N's - Natives,  Nullification Crisis, National Bank, Spoils sytem


Manifest Destiny- Fate of the Americans to expand their borders to the Pacific (sea to sea).
